These two children are celebrating their birthdays this month. Obviously they are a couple years apart. The most challenging thing about photographing children is that they have short attention spans. We thought it would be best to do a shoot on a local beach. This way we can capture some images of them enjoying the beach and eachother..
This was our first ever shoot on the UF campus. Tori and John both attended UF and will be getting married there over the summer. So we figured, why not do a shoot on campus. What a great idea!!! Talk about a photographers dream. There are so many places you can choose to do the pictures at, but we decided to stick to the better known areas of the O'Connell Center and Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. It helps that both are open to the public :)
I know.. its been awhile since I posted. I honestly am trying to update this blog every few days, but as soon as I think about it, something comes up...
So here we go... These are from a family session at a park in our town. Being located in a small county, such as Citrus, it difficult to find locations that I have not used too much. This is a small little park in Inverness. I have not shot there before, but will have to do so again. There are plenty of areas that can be used to give different looks each time.
Here is a sneak preview of Mary and Arthur's wedding on May 1, 2008. Its not too often we get the opportunity to shoot a mid-week wedding, but I am glad we got to shoot this one. It was an outdoor wedding on the beach in Pine Island. I have not been to this particular beach, but you better believe that I will be back for a session or two. It was awesome.
Here are a few from the wedding. If you have been following our blog postings, you will notice that we are trying something new with using textures on the images. Let us know what you think!! Thank you Mary and Arthur for allowing us to photograph your wedding. It was a blast!!
Here is another recent engagement session. I have known Denise and Justin since High School. I was just reminded how long ago that was... Man we are getting old... :)
Next up is an engagement session that we did in Lakeland. We started at Hollis Gardens and ended up wandering through out downtown Lakeland. Kristi and Eliot were awesome.. They were game for whatever I wanted to try... They even climbed up a 100ft rope gym at a park. How cool is that. Here are the images..
Its been awhile since I have updated this blog. There has been a lot going on, so I havent had the time to update. So check back here often this week. I will be adding lots of new things and images.
Up first is a family session from a week ago. It was taken in a local park. The weather was great and the family was fun. The only challenge was that the children wanted to run and play in the park... not take pictures :) Those that have children understand this. Here are a few images.
