We had the unique opportunity to photograph a wedding of a group of friends. Danielle and Chris (as well as several groomsmen and bridesmaids) went to school with Valerie and I. Its not very often we get to photograph friends and it was an event we were looking forward to with great anticipation.

The weather was a little iffy, but thankfully it cleared up during the reception so we could grab a few shots outside the church. Enjoy the few we selected to show on here (in no particular order) and dont forget to leave comments.

Today we shot our first wedding at the Baughman Center in Gainesville. You might recognize Victoria and John from their engagement session we posted a few weeks ago. The Baughman center is beautiful. We enjoyed shooting their wedding. Here are a few images.. Enjoy!!

Emily and Patrick, St Augustine

Here are a few of my favorite images from Emily and Patrick's wedding in St Augustine a couple of weeks ago. One thing that happens a lot in Florida are beach weddings. Beach weddings are unique because they challenge the photographer with a variety of difficulties. The biggest issue during this wedding was the direct overhead sun, typically a photographers nightmare. But no fears... we were up for the challenge. :) Enjoy the images below and let us know what you think.

This may be my favorite bridal shot of the year.



A lot of things happen in weddings that are unplanned. I had originally had a shot in mind of just the bride on the couch, without including the mirror. However, upon moving a few bridesmaids and groomsmen, I noticed this opportunity and gladly took it :)







The venue (Palace Grand) has a glass elevator that they use to bring the bride and groom down to the reception. How awesome is that!!!

We are off to St Augustine for a wedding this weekend. Look for a few more wedding updates next week. We have 4 we will be posting shortly.

So this was our 2nd engagement session at UF this month. The challenge with shooting at the same places again is providing something a little different than the others. As you can see, some images are similar to the previous session (due to architecture), but several are different.




















Now with these, I decided to have them stand on the number of their wedding date. Doing this instead of using a random number, gave more meaning to the couple.
